One of Ed Anderson’s first visions in life was a pair of boxing gloves his parents bought for him at the hospital gift shop on the day he was born. It's no surprise he feels such a connection with the sport.
A native of Massachusetts, Anderson began boxing at the age of 7 years old, and was quickly becoming recognized in the amateur boxing scene for his fast hand speed and ambidextrous fighting style. During his amateur career Anderson amassed a record of 52 wins in 60 bouts and was once predicted as a future champion by boxing legend Paul Pender who would frequent "Fast Eddie's" fights.
It was during this time that Anderson credits the colorful sport of boxing for fueling his passion to explore the places and cultures of typically less desirable destinations.
After ten years in the ring, Ed became fascinated with music. He put down the gloves and started pounding drums in local rock bands. He eventually moved to the Phoenix where he studied the art of guitar building and opened up shop in the enchanted state of New Mexico with his friend and world renowned Luthier Michael Collins.
After several years of traveling and working in various industries of the music business, Anderson came full circle back to the sport he loves best.
When he is not doing Road Work, Ed spends time with his friends and family, enjoys music, art and good cigars.
